The SR Group is a global professional, specialist recruitment organisation that focuses on the Legal, HR, Tax and Marketing sectors trading under the names Brewer Morris, Carter Murray, Frazer Jones, SR Search and Taylor Root.

The SR Group has offices in London, Dubai, Singapore, Hong Kong, Melbourne and Sydney. The SR Group (formerly a partnership) has recently incorporated and all personal information held by the partnership was transferred to the relevant corporate entity in each jurisdiction (company and privacy officer contact details in each locality are set out below).

The SR Group is committed to protecting your privacy and here we explain how we collect information, what we do with it and what controls you have.

The SR Group aims to comply with best practice and privacy legislation in all jurisdictions in which it has operations. If you have any specific queries relating to The SR Group’s privacy policy in your local jurisdiction, please contact the privacy officer in the appropriate office.

The SR Group privacy policy will be reviewed from time to time to take account of new laws and technology, changes to our operations and practices and to make sure it remains appropriate to the changing environment. Any information we hold will be governed by the most current version of the privacy policy.

This privacy policy also constitutes:

What personal information do we collect and what do we use it for?

We may collect your name, e-mail address, postal address and telephone number, details of your current and previous employment history, education and training and we may retain a record of your correspondence with us.

We collect this personal information to:

• Provide you with information about job vacancies – to assist you in finding a suitable position;
• Provide you with recruitment services - which may include career guidance and management;
• Manage a temporary or contract assignment - if you are engaged by The SR Group as a temporary worker;
• Inform you of events, services and possible job opportunities by mail/email/sms/phone;
• Assist in managing our relationship with you and our clients and perform administration or operational functions; and
• Carry out market research and marketing analysis.

Sensitive Information

Depending on the nature of the role applied for, we may need to collect and process personal information about you to include: health and disability details, criminal records, membership of professional or trade associations.

In addition, as part of our commitment to equality of opportunity and to monitor compliance with our equal opportunity policy, we may ask you to complete an equality monitoring form. Where you are asked to complete an equality monitoring form, information is provided voluntarily and on an anonymous basis for statistical analysis. It is not stored with your other personal records.

How is personal information obtained?

Personal information may be obtained through our websites (e.g. when you submit your curriculum vitae or application) or via one of our recruitment consultants (when you send them your curriculum vitae or application or discuss a recruitment opportunity with them).

Although we do not make it compulsory to give us every item of information we ask for, the more information you volunteer (and the more accurate it is), the better we can tailor our services to your needs. We may occasionally contact you with information about some of our other recruitment opportunities that we feel may be of interest to you. This will only come from The SR Group and only if you have not objected.

Disclosure of your information

We may disclose your personal information (including to trusted third parties) for the purposes for which it is primarily held or for a related secondary purpose and in some cases we may only disclose information with your consent.

We may:

• for the purposes of providing recruitment services to you, pass your data to our employees or other parts of our group (including our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries i.e. other related bodies corporate) and to other individuals and companies who assist us in supplying our services or who perform functions on our behalf (e.g. third parties where we have retained them to provide services that you or our client have requested such as psychometric testing and reference/qualification checking);

• disclose or transfer your data to prospective employers or where you have otherwise agreed we may disclose it;

• disclose your personal information to third parties who perform functions on our behalf and who also provide services to us, such as professional advisors, IT consultants carrying out testing and development work on our business systems;

• in the event of a sale, merger, liquidation, receivership or transfer of assets disclose your personal data to such third parties provided that they agree to adhere to the terms of this privacy policy and only use your personal data for the purposes that you have provided it to us;

• analyse and disclose aggregate statistics about our site visitors and candidates in order to describe our services to prospective partners, clients and other reputable third parties and for other lawful purposes – in such cases these statistics will include no personally identifying information.

We may disclose personal information, if required to do so by law or if we believe that such action is necessary, to protect and defend the rights, property or personal safety of The SR Group, the site or its visitors.

Transferring your personal information overseas

The SR Group is a global organisation, and as part of the services offered to you, the information you provide to us may be forwarded to our offices, including our offices in other international locations, and where you have applied for a specific role to employers in another country.

By submitting your curriculum vitae or application to us (whether via our website or to one of our recruitment consultants), you are agreeing to your personal details being forwarded to our offices, including our international offices at the locations listed below and where you have applied for a specific role, to employers in that country.

Security and storage of personal information

Safeguarding personal information and respecting confidentiality of our customer information is important to The SR Group and we will do our best to protect your personal data.

All information you provide to us is stored on secure servers and while we have security measures in place to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of customer data under our control we cannot guarantee that loss, misuse or alteration of data will not occur.

IP addresses

We may collect information about your computer including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type for system administration and to analyse visitor trends and traffic on our website. This information does not identify individuals and is not passed on to third parties.

Cookies

A cookie is a small text file that is stored on your computer, for use when you return to a page/website that you visited before. In this case it contains information required for downloading documents.

Cookies are not required to view our website but are in the document downloads area. If you wish to download a document, a cookie will be used to remember your name and email address to keep you from having to re-enter it every time you download a document. If Cookies are disabled you will need to re-enter this information every time you download a file. The cookies are non-permanent and will be removed when you close your browser.

Keeping our records accurate and up to date

The SR Group regularly reviews the personal data it processes to ensure that it is up to date, accurate and not held for longer than necessary for our internal processes or as otherwise required by law. Your co-operation in helping us to keep your data accurate by informing us of any change of name or change of address is an important part of this. If you would like to review or change the details you have supplied us with, you may do so at any time.

By using our website and/or providing your personal information to us (either via our website or to one of our recruitment consultants) you consent to the collection and use of this information by The SR Group and to our privacy policy. If we change our privacy policy in any way, we will post the changes on our website.

Your rights

You have the right to access information we hold about you. We do refuse access if it would interfere with the privacy rights of other persons or if it breaches any confidentiality that attaches to that information.
To make a request to access your personal information, you will need to outline your request in writing, verify your identity and specify what information you require. Please contact the Privacy Officer in the relevant office with any such requests.

We may impose a moderate charge in providing access and the relevant Privacy Officer will discuss this with you.

You should also anticipate that it may take time to process your application for access as there may be a need to retrieve information from storage and review it in order to determine what information is relevant.
