WhatsApp, email and LinkedIn InMail phishing attempts

It has come to our attention that scammers are contacting people via WhatsApp, email, telephone and LinkedIn InMail pretending to work for The SR Group and offering fake job opportunities. We therefore want to urge people to be aware of potential fraud in the recruitment process and to be vigilant.

This scam is unfortunately widespread. We are aware of many other recruitment firms also being affected.

Scammers may exhibit certain warning signs, such as poor grammar and spelling, unusual or unofficial email addresses, or insisting on urgency or immediate action. Genuine offers from The SR Group will always be professional, clear and provide ample time for consideration.

We do sometimes communicate with candidates and clients using WhatsApp and LinkedIn InMail, and will often call our customers, but we will never:

The SR Group will never send you an unsolicited link via WhatsApp. If you receive a call or message via WhatsApp, text, email or LinkedIn InMail from someone you do not recognise, claiming to work for The SR Group please get in touch.

The people contacting you with these spam messages do not work for The SR Group. They have not obtained your information from The SR Group. Our data security has not been compromised.

Please note that under no circumstances shall The SR Group be held liable for any claims, damages, or losses resulting from or in any way connected to the actions of the scammers mentioned above.
