Corporate Responsibility

The SR Group Corporate Responsibility (CR) programme is an integral part of the foundations of our company.

The programme is centred on our corporate philosophy and outlines how we encourage responsible actions in every employee, both through delivery of business services and within the wider community.

We divide CR into four categories - Charity, Diversity, Environment and Community - each of which influences the way we engage with clients, candidates and colleagues:

We are confident that commitment to our programme ensures a strong business relationship with all parties over the long term. As part of our wider CR commitment, we consistently adopt the most progressive recruitment methods and invest them with traditional values of honesty, commitment and professionalism.

We self-regulate our CR activity, monitoring and ensuring adherence to ethical and cultural standards and legislation internationally. We embrace responsibility for any impact our activities have on any parties of the public.

Equality & Diversity

The SR Groups’ commitment to equality and diversity ensures all policies and procedures protect individual rights against discrimination.

The SR Group has a proactive approach to equality and diversity both internally and as part of the divisional recruitment methodologies. In order to ensure the Group is reaching individuals from diverse communities, the Group supports a number of organisations and networking groups. These groups operate as independent support networks for various minority groups and communities.

The SR Group has been capturing candidate equality and diversity statistical information for many years. This information is voluntarily provided and is recorded anonymously. This data is regularly requested by clients and provided as Management Reporting Information.

Taylor Root, the legal recruitment division of the SR Group has been working together with The Law Society and a number of law firms to provide an industry wide Diversity Monitoring format for all. This is supported by organisations including; Employers Forum on Age, Employers Forum on Belief, Employer’s Forum on Disability, Opportunity Now, Race For Opportunity and Stonewall.

The SR Group policy ensures that the Group will not unlawfully discriminate across a number of key business areas, including:

  • Advertising of jobs, recruitment and selection
  • Terms and Conditions, benefits, facilities and pay
  • Application of grievance and disciplinary procedures
  • Termination of employment and redundancy
  • Training and development
  • Opportunities for promotion
  • Health and safety
  • Conduct at work
